Description
I am fascinated with red brick buildings, triggered by the National Theatre that I first sketched. Red brick’s texture and colour are a contrast to the modern concrete buildings. These buildings have a history too. It was very enriching for me when I read up a little more about the stories behind each building. There are more red brick buildings that are yet to be drawn. Perhaps I will pick up on this again. Four of them are drawn using sepia ink as I like the nostalgia the colour brings.
Each sketch has its own story, interesting facts that I discovered, and my personal reflections while embarking on the sketch. I hope these sketches will capture some memories of Singapore landscape through pen and paper, the old fashioned way. You can click on the details of each card below to read more.
This is a limited print card set. There will not be a reprint of these cards. I will number each set by hand with my initials.
